Holder, Charles Frederick. The Fishes of the Pacific Coast, A Handbook for Sportsmen and Tourists. First Edition. 1912. Hardcover with a pictorial pastedown on the front cover. It is in very good minus condition—there is light foxing to a few of the pages and a minor pen mark to the front cover.
When one thinks of Pacific Coast fishing, one imagines the coast, but that is only part of the story. The founder of the Santa Catalina Tuna Club wrote this book, but he was also knowledgeable about inland fishing as well. In addition to the ocean, he includes the fish of the San Francisco Bay, the Sierra Madre, Lake Tahoe, etc. The book also includes full-page photogravure plates depicting the various species of fish and the locales where they can be found.
