Dave Barry, “How to Win Arguments”
It is well-established that art inspires life and vice versa. Satire, however, usually remains fictional. When humorist Dave Barry's "How to Win Arguments" was originally published in the 1980s, it was clearly in fun. It has since supplanted Machiavelli's The Prince as the the go-to treatise on how to accumulate power. Now, the blowhard who was once avoided at parties is on his way to being nominated by one.
