Book is in very good minus condition—a corner is bumped, and there is mild discoloration to the endpaper. Book is signed “Valentino N.Y. 1992.” Laid in is a full-page advertisement in the New York Times promoting Valentino’s personal appearance and book signing at the W. 57th St. Rizzoli Bookstore.
This lavish and well-illustrated monograph traces the life and career of the great Italian couturier. It includes hundreds of photographs of his designs, most in color, and worn by models and Valentino devotees (such as Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Onassis). The section at the end, in full color, displays six of his fashion sketches per year, spanning from 1961 to 1990.
