This fully illustrated book (medium coffee table) covers Selznick’s career as one of Hollywood’s first and most important independent producers. As this book shows, many Hollywood films that withstood the test of time have the Selznick name on them. This is a marvelous association copy of an excellent book. Cukor makes his first appearance in the author’s acknowledgements section and continues to appear throughout, including the sections on Bill of Divorcement and Gone with the Wind (from which he was famously fired).
