This sequel to Bed Manners (listed in last year’s catalogue) laments that though the masses are taught the proper manner for such arcane activities as writing letters to the Archbishop of Canterbury, they are given no instruction on proper bediquette. This book is intended for “people so clever that they do not just hang up their good manners every night with their clothes.” Entirely tongue-in-cheek (and elsewhere), the book includes such helpful chapters as “The Seven Pillars of Desertion and Divorce” and “Bed Manners in a Country House.”
