Lyn Revson's World of Style, How Join It and Live It
Revson, Lyn. Lyn Revson’s World of Style, How to Join It and Live It. First Edition. 1977. Book is in very good condition; dust jacket is very good minus condition.
Lynn Revson, the fresh-scrubbed face of 1970s glamour (and former wife of cosmetics tycoon Charles Revson), thought it “always better to be a bit underdressed than overdressed.” That aesthetic is much in evidence in this book, in which she confides her style tips, a seemingly incompatible mix of simplicity and sophistication. There are many pages of lifestyle photographs, including hair appointments with Alexandre, two-page spreads in Vogue, jogs in Central Park, and soirees at Regine’s.
“The woman with real style is never just a piece of furniture. She’s a living, breathing, laughing, crying human being whose presence is always felt.”
--Lyn Revson
