Lyn Revson's World of Style, How Join It and Live It
Revson, Lyn. Lyn Revson’s World of Style, How to Join It and Live It. First Edition. 1977. Book is in very good condition; dust jacket is very good minus condition.
The fresh-scrubbed face of glamour in the 1960s and 1970s was Lyn Revson, the erstwhile wife of idiosyncratic cosmetics tycoon Charles Revson. In this book, she confides her style tips, a seemingly incompatible mix of simplicity and sophistication, which are actually in perfect accord. There are many images, and they depict appointments with Alexandre, two-page spreads in Vogue, jogs in Central Park, and soirées at Regine’s. Never reprinted, the book is in short supply.
“I think it’s always better to be a bit underdressed than overdressed.”
