[Signed Presentation] Susann, Jacqueline. Every Night, Josephine. Fifth Printing. 1963. Book and dust jacket are both in very good minus condition—endpapers show discoloration; jacket shows minor fraying, small edge tears and mildly faded spine. Book is warmly and amusingly inscribed, “To Lynn & Hy, Even if you don’t like ‘dogs’—Josephine is not really a dog. She’s Elizabeth Taylor in fur.”
Signed copies make a book distinctive, but what makes it one-of-a-kind is an amusing authorial inscription, such as the case here. It is icing on the cake that Susann so succinctly and accurately sums up the book. [Never mind that Elizabeth Taylor would have been the first to admit that she herself was rather hirsute.]
