[Signed Presentation to Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin] McCartney, Linda. Linda McCartney’s Home Cooking. Fourth Printing. 1990. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition. Book is inscribed on the title page, “For Kim + Alex, Love Linda McCartney.” In the middle of the inscription, McCartney has drawn a fish and than crossed it out with an “x.” On that same page is Kim Basinger’s ownership signature.


What a great copy of this classic cookbook, which promotes a sensible diet as well as vegetarianism. It is signed by one of the most iconic animal rights activists to two of Hollywood’s most celebrated vegetarians (then married to each other). The drawing suggests a conversation between them about whether fish belong in a vegetarian diet.
