Frank Lloyd Wright once quipped, “Tip the world on its side and everything loose will land in Los Angeles.” That seems to be the gist of this madcap novel set in Golden Age Hollywood in which Old World nobility meets New World fanfare. The protagonists, both fugitives from their aristocratic backgrounds, meet and fall in love in Hollywood, as she attempts to make it as an actress.
