This gorgeous and massive book spans the breadth and depth of Herb Ritts’ career. In total, there are two hundred forty full-page images. The first is the iconic Richard Gere photograph from 1978 that launched both of their careers. Following it are the fashion work, celebrity portraiture, nudes, and the Africa series—Ritts’s signature classic style giving them a unity they would not otherwise possess. The book coincided with a major retrospective by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
