The book is inscribed "To Dan, Christopher Makos" and includes original artwork by Makos consisting of a dollar sign enclosed in a heart with an arrow through it. Introduction is by Henry Geldzahler.
Christopher Makos met Andy Warhol in the early 1970s and became one of his closest friends. It was Makos who introduced Warhol to emerging artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. Makos also photographed Warhol frequently, and these photographs supplement Warhol’s own diaries as the best record of his final ten years. They are an intimate, fascinating portrayal of the iconic artist as he traveled, socialized, and went about the business of being Andy Warhol.
