If Pablo Picasso had been alive to attend the 1975 marriage of Rosamond Bernier to New York Times art critic John Richardson, he could have sat on either side of the aisle. He had deep connections to both (see: Richardson’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice). However, the great Cubist painter is only one of many figures from the worlds of the art, music, fashion, and design that make appearances in this book of a thousand anecdotes.
