Plumb, Barbara. Horst Interiors. First Edition. 1993. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition.
In addition to his work in fashion and society, Horst was well known for his photographs of interiors, which were published in Vogue. The photos were first collected into the difficult-to-find Vogue’s Book of Houses, Gardens, People (1968). Some of the photographs from the earlier book were used in this one, but this book also includes material from the 1970s and 1980s as well. Highlights include Doris Duke’s floating outdoor bed, Pauline de Rothschild’s bedroom with luminous 18th Century Chinese floral wallpaper, and Cy Twombly’s 18th Century Roman palazzo.
