[Signed] Reagan, Nancy. My Turn, The Memoirs of Nancy Reagan. First English Edition. 1989. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition. Book is signed “Nancy Reagan” on the flyleaf.
This English edition of the former First Lady’s memoirs features a more elegant dust jacket than the American edition. It is also less common, particularly signed. As to content, the book’s title suggests score settling, and there is some of that. At its heart, however, it is simply Nancy Reagan’s attempt to offer her version of events. As often happens with a public personality as reserved as Mrs. Reagan, she was sometimes misunderstood during her eight years in Washington. Here, she displays vulnerability but also valor, outing herself as a moderate voice of reason—a counterbalance to the many hardliners in her husband’s administration.
“I don’t know who decided that the presidential primaries should begin in New Hampshire in the winter, but he certainly was not from California.”
--Nancy Reagan
