She relates that story, as well as the origins of their romance, in this memoir. However, there is more to Ruth Kligman than simply Jackson Pollock. She was one the 20th Century’s great muses—she had also had an intense on-again, off-again love affair with Willem de Kooning and friendships with roster of notable New York City artists, including Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe.
