[Signed] Crawford, Joan. My Way of Life. First Edition, Second Printing. 1971. Book is in very good condition; dust jacket is in good plus condition—jacket has yellowed (unevenly) with age. Book is signed on the title page, “Hi from Joan Crawford.” [A previous owner has written the date of Crawford’s death on that same page.] Also, laid into this copy is a vintage press photo of Crawford signing a copy of the book.
Alas, My Way of Life, published six years prior to Crawford’s death, is not the swansong Crawford envisioned— daughter Christina saw to that. It is a pity. This book reveals a softer, more appealing side of the actress, as she travels the world promoting Pepsi Cola, socializes with old friends (such as Noel Coward), and discusses the decorating projects she commissioned from her great friend William Haines. Includes many b & w photos.
