Ronald Reagan wrote a condolence letter to his daughter Patty after the assassination of her political hero, Bobby Kennedy. In it, he commented, “Isn’t it strange, a few months ago our friend in Washington told me that she foresaw a tragedy for him before the [1968] election.” The friend to whom Reagan was undoubtedly referring was the author of this book, psychic Jeane Dixon. In 1956, she predicted in Parade magazine that a young, charismatic Democratic president would be elected in 1960 but would be assassinated. When, in 1963, her prediction seemingly came true, she became famous. In this midlife memoir, she discusses both Kennedy assassination predictions in detail, as well as other history-making events she foretold. Some of the chapters cover what she foresaw for the years 1970 through the early 21st Century. As to those, her track record isn’t perfect, but what she got right cannot easily be dismissed.
“When people ask me to describe my gift, I am at a loss. They may just as well as me to describe love or electricity.”
--Jeane Dixon
