This book purports to be an authorized biography of P.G. Wodehouse’s famous Jeeves, a character so popular that the name is shorthand for “the perfect gentleman’s valet” and is recognized as such by the dictionary. The book is presented as based upon a series of interviews with Jeeves himself. However, as he never actually existed it is not a biography at all. The source is actually the “Jeeves” canon of thirty-five short stories and eleven novels. Droll.
