Book is in very good condition; dust jacket is in good condition—previous owner’s name written in pencil, and jacket shows fading and taped repair to spine & fraying. This copy is ex libris Andy Warhol—his bookplate is affixed to the front endpaper.
Barbara Goldsmith opined, “Some people say California is the bellwether of America. I’d say Andy Warhol.” Given America’s continuing fascination with the Duke and Duchess, it is no surprise to find this early, gossipy book about the couple in his library. Moreover, Warhol even once dined with the Duchess at El Morocco in the 1970s. This book was released two years after the Duke’s own memoir and is something of a codicil to that book.
