Sparks, Fred. The $20,000,000 Honeymoon. Jackie and Ari’s First Year. First Edition. 1970. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition.
The recent book What Would Jackie Do? dispensed advice based upon episodes in the life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Considering that Onassis once said, “The first time you marry for love, the second for money, and the third for companionship,” she followed her own advice. She ended her unhappy tenure as America’s first martyr by becoming the jet set’s first shopper. The book adds up the expenses and supports the staggering sum with a thousand anecdotes. Though not exactly flattering to Mrs. Onassis, it is more fun than mean-spirited.
“Jackie is a little bird that needs its freedom as well as its security, and she gets them both from me.”
--Aristotle Onassis
