Though she will be forever associated with the English country-house look she and her partner John Fowler popularized, Nancy Lancaster was by birth a Virginian, the daughter of one of the famous Langhorne sisters (who included Lady Astor and Irene Gibson). Their family home, Mirador, is one of the houses featured in this book, making this an interesting association copy. Includes one hundred seventy-five photographs.
