Some ninety years before the iPhone’s know-it-all electronic assistant Siri, this flapper era party book attempted a Paleolithic prototype. It was written in response to “The General Information Quiz” mania that was then sweeping the nation, in which partygoers would be accosted with a succession of trivial questions. This book attempts to guess the likely questions and then provides the answers. It is less necessary today, but the dust jacket is wonderful. Moreover, it is a hostess gift that would inspire conversation.
