Nobs & Nosh, Eating with the Beautiful People
Warren, Allan. Nobs & Nosh, Eating with the Beautiful People. First Edition. 1974. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition—jacket shows a minor tear and light fraying.
This uncommon book profiles the dining and entertaining habits of over one hundred late 1960s and early 1970s celebrities, most of whom were either based in the United Kingdom or frequently traveled there. The majority are given a two-page spread, one page of which is a full-page color photographic plate by English society portraitist Allen Warren. On the other page, in their own words, are a few paragraphs pertaining to that person’s dining or entertaining preferences. Those profiled include David Niven, Cary Grant, Noel Coward, and Gloria Swanson.
“I believe that Mother Nature has brought us a long way and that she knows best.”
--Gloria Swanson
