His journals are an important record of that era, both as to fashion and to the jet set society in which he traveled. These journals trace his highs and lows, with much on his tumultuous marriage to textile designer Celia Birtwell. Only the English edition has a dust cover showing the journals in the colorful and dazzling style in which he wrote actually wrote them. So chic.
