Shrimpton, Jean. Jean Shrimpton, An Autobiography. First Edition. 1990. Book and dust jacket are both in very good condition.
One of the most famous models to come out of the United Kingdom, Jean Shrimpton had the good fortune to graduate from the Lucie Clayton Modelling School just as London had begun to swing in the early 1960s. Her unique look was in perfect accord with that era. In fact, it was a 1965 photograph of her in a Colin Rolfe shift dress that began the miniskirt craze. In this memoir, published only in the U.K., she recalls her turbulent romances with the photographer David Bailey and the actor Terence Stamp, as well as her experiences working with Diana Vreeland.
