This book also includes another Peter Kyne novel, Island of Desire. Kyne was a globetrotting adventurer who came of age in the American West of the late 19th Century. Most of his stories are either Westerns or are set in an exotic locale he had experienced firsthand during his many travels. The two novels here cover both, but the attractive dust jacket illustration, with a cowboy between two saguaro cacti, is clearly modeled upon the first novel, The Gringo Privateer. Would make a lovely decorative accent for a home located in the American Southwest.
