Andrews, George. The Book of Grass, An Anthology of Indian Hemp. First Edition. 1967. Book and dust jacket are both in very good minus condition.
Contrary to conventional wisdom, marijuana can be a very dangerous, even deadly substance. After all, as this book points out, hemp was used to make the rope from which people were hung from the gallows. All text, the book is both a scientific and literary compendium. There are selections and contributions by Aldous Huxley, Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland), Paul Bowles, Allen Ginsberg, Carl Jung, Henry Miller, William Burroughs, Charles Baudelaire, and even George Washington (he did not cut down a cherry tree, but he did grow and harvest hemp).
