The 1930s was a decade cluttered with unpleasant ‘isms—Communism and Fascism to name just two. How refreshing, then, that at least one of them, nudism, took the concentration out of camp. This book of b & w photographs, drawings, and text depicts nudists participating in a variety of outrageous activities, including snow skiing (brrr!), farming, and gymnastics. A bare majority of the participants invalidate the old maxim that the ones that shouldn’t go naked are the ones who do.
