The book is mostly illustration, both color and b & w, with exhaustive captions by Hicks expounding upon various ideas and concepts. A standout is his design of an Athens apartment with antique statues suggesting the Olympiad, which are placed on modern pedestals and juxtaposed against a window with dramatic views of the Acropolis.
