[Signed Presentation to Ed Limato] Dunaway, Faye. Looking for Gatsby, My Life. First Edition. 1995. Book is in good plus condition; dust jacket is in very good condition—there is a small stain to the page edges. Book is warmly inscribed, “To Edward—friend of actors like me. Thanks for appreciating and helping all of us. It means so much to me that you are here, now. Lots & lots of love, Faye, ’96.” Book is from the collection of Hollywood agent Ed Limato and contains his bookstamp, “From the Library of Edward F. Limato, Heather House.”
There has been much on Faye Dunaway’s interpretation of Joan Crawford. Vice versa, not so much. History has forgotten Crawford’s assessment, “Of all the [young] actresses—to me, only Faye Dunaway has the talent and the class and the courage it takes to make a real star.” In this autobiography, Dunaway is indeed glamorous Hollywood star, and one of intelligence, thoughtfully commenting upon her filmography, including the famous Crawford biopic. Includes several sections of photographs.
