Written just a few years after he rescued the world from the evil of Fascism, Winston Churchill wrote this book on how painting is an excellent hobby in which to enjoy the languor of peacetime. There are approximately thirty pages of text by Churchill, which is followed by color plates of his paintings. Churchill’s hobby ultimately became an industry. In December 2007, Sotheby’s sold one of his paintings from the collection of Margaret Truman for a hammer price of nearly one million dollars.
