This English Edition of Nureyev, An Autobiography, first published in 1962, is an example of how editions sometimes drift on their way across the Atlantic. This book differs from its American counterpart in several ways. One, Nureyev’s first name ends in an “f” rather than a “ph.” Two, it is larger format, better suited for the book’s dual nature, as a photographic as well as written biography. Three, American photographer Richard Avedon’s contribution is present but not promoted on the dust jacket cover.
