Check out this First American Edition of couturier Paul Poiret's 1931 autobiography King of Fashion at the Nick Harvill Libraries store. Poiret is one of the most important influences on early 20th Century fashion, the evolutionary link between Worth and Chanel. He famously liberated women from their corsets. He also invented the idea of the fashion cross-over when he ventured into home decor and the perfume business.
